We are currently accepting students in our northwest London studio. Beginners and transfer students of all ages and abilities are welcome. Students may begin lessons as young as age 3 1/2 or as old as they wish! Private lessons are offered on violin, viola and cello. We offer both Suzuki and traditional methods of instruction. Theory lessons may be taken privately or in a group. Lessons are currently offered on weekdays, evenings & Sundays. We do not teach on Friday or Saturday.

TEACHER BIOS:

Jane Eady - violin, viola, piano

Jane holds both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Western Ontario.  She completed her Grade 10 examinations in violin and piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music in addition to attending numerous teaching workshops including Suzuki teacher training on both violin and piano, and piano pedagogy workshops with Carole Bigler and Valery Lloyd-Watts. 

Jane has been teaching for nearly 20 years in both Canada and the US.  She maintains an active free-lance performance career and is also on the faculty of String Fever, a music camp held in London every July.

Ben Gitter - cello, music theory

Ben has Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Cello Performance from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts in Cello Performance and Master of Music in Music Theory from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  In addition to offering private cello and theory lessons, Ben is a Sessional Instructor in the School of Music at the University of Windsor where he teaches music theory and basic skills.  He also runs theory group classes during the school year to prepare students for theory examinations with the Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada.

Ben has been teaching for over 15 years.  He has taken various Suzuki cello and bass pedagogy workshops and particularly enjoys working with cello ensembles.  He is also on the faculty of String Fever.
